12 years after finishing school, I’ve been invited to a reunion for my first year in high school (Where I come from, we call this year, Year 7).
I was talking with the girl who is organising it and she vaguely remembers me (I only went to that school for that year). anyway I have now caught up with others that I went to schoo; with over the years and was shocked to learn what the others really thought of me, I don’t know if anywhere else does this but we did, we voted on who was most likely to do what in life, here’s a list of my credentials as from what they thought all those years ago:
voted most likely to pull a gun out and shoot someone
voted most likely to be an evil dictator
voted most likely to ba a complete #####
voted most likely to start a war
voted most likely to start a civil war
voted most likely to use nukes in a temper tamtrum
voted most likely to kill his own family just to impress a love interest
voted most likely to end up in a mental hospital claiming to be the ruler of the world
voted most likely to become a spy
Unfortunately “Voted most likely to be an Alien” was awarded to someone else who looked really weird anyway- so it was no suprise there…
Wow school really brings out the best in you doesn’t it?

More valid points!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-09-02 AT 09:25Â AM (GMT)]6)
If You sent the information it´s in cyberspace.
I didn´t receive it on any of my e-mail addresses, as a private message at this forum or as an open post on this forum.
7)
My interest in it is to find out the truth.
I know, by the information that I´ve found on the web, currently beyond reasonable doubt, that You were wrong in Your statements. I wanted to give You the chance either to prove that You weren´t wrong or to admit that You actually were wrong.
8)
As can be judged from the number of my posts I´m not as frequent a poster as many other contributors. I have limited time to spend on the web and I don´t have the time to search TEN news network. Usually their search engines stink and, as You point out, there´s a limit to how far back it goes.
In order not to start another argumentation I must emphasize that any number of posts is OK, it´s up to the individual to decide their contribution.
9)
The last time we discussed this issue was in early April, over six months ago. When comments are that far apart I wouldn´t call it mud slinging. I can be accused of not forgetting and not letting go though and on those accounts I´m guilty as charged.
10)
This is ten and out!
As You suggest, lets bury this subject and move on.
Further discussion will take us nowhere so You´ll live with Your knowledge and I´ll live with mine!
If You stop calling me “Sir”, then I promise that I´ll never call You “Sir”. That would be a good first step towards becoming better friends again, wouldn´t it?!

RE: School can be so cruel!
Kev: It’s me mate, No I have never done any of those things, though some people have tempeted me to. I take firm belief that I am a sound minded person now a days and the pressures of school are well in the past. Should be interesting when I go to this reunion…
Christer: I did send you the information, what you did with it is anyones guess. Anyway why not move on, that whole thing was a while ago, besides, why do you have such a vested interest in it? I just called it how I was told it. The Info (For all who may read this), can be found by searching the TEN news network here in Australia, I don’t know how far back their archieves go but it was there that I saw it ok, now once and for all DROP IT, and move on. If you read my rating of you, it says that I didn’t want to do it, the reason is that I don’t want to neg anybody at all because everybody has the right to their oppinion and their views or way of thinking may change, but you sir have not changed at all, thus you forced me, by throwing things in my face, to neg you. I don’t know you personally but I wish we could meet just once to chat, I’m sure we could spend hours picking each others knowledge to bits. You sir are the single most reason that I try to avoid any posting on the Flypast forum, your continual mud slinging is unwarrented and quiet irritating.

Valid points!
1)
I´ve got one little problem and one problem only, that´s correct. The problem is that You neither told me the information nor where to find it. I´m not lazy, believe me when I tell You that I looked everywhere and all evidence that I found contradict Your allegations.
2)
I´ve answered every private message that You´ve sent on this issue. In the last one, which I received on Tue Apr 2 2002, You promised to find the information again. I haven´t heard from You since then. To your defence I must add that You gave the option for me to e-mail You. I didn´t, why should I? The ball was Yours!
So, I´m not trying to make myself look good.
3)
When You added that comment to Your Profile, didn´t You expect people to wonder about things like your personality and attitude towards other people? I must confess that I did!
4)
Thanks for Your rating, it was long overdue! It was actually the second best I ever had!!
Regarding that, It wasn´t me who attacked You. Your mates from school did and You posted it.
I only asked a simple question!
5)
Feel free to ignore me, I hope You will. The purpose of posting these valid points is to let all who might read this know what we are talking about.
Regards,
Christer 😉

RE: School can be so cruel!
Keltic,
I agree. My years at high school are something I certainly don’t want to re-visit. It was a crap time. I remember, while I was still at high school, my grandmother used to tell me that school days were the best years of my life, and thinking to myself, “hell, if this is as good as it gets, I’m in for a s**t of a life!”
Reunions suck!!
Regards
Wombat

RE: School can be so cruel!
I never attend to any of these. Life is like an onnion with different layers. Some stages of life should be closed if we don´t want to open the Pandora box or bringing back ghosts of our life which could be negative for our present existence. Funny nicknames, former girlfriends in front of our wives, the bullies, secret confidences, what others thought of us. In the last one I went. Everybody was trying to show off in front of others. The successfull ones were a pain, the losers didn´t even look up and remembering such a clumpsy time, make us saying stupid things like:
“it seems yesterday when….”
“life passes quickly…”
“physical deterioration”
And the photos of the family being showed around….puajjj.

RE: School can be so cruel!
Well Ja, it just shows how wrong people can be doesn’t it? I mean you haven’t done any of those things they voted you most likely to….
Have you?
The board needs to know.
Will the real Ja Worsley now identify himself?

RE: School can be so cruel!
I was once at an school reunion and two girls from my old class almost attacked me when they heard what my proffesion was. They where tree huggers as Geforce would say. They where against war and voilence. Strange girls against voilence and than attacking a other class mate who was also in the military. We kicked them out and start partying.
Just as i do not understand the extreme left wing demonstrators demonstrating for peace and love and demolisch a town.
Strange people.

Christer
I’ve tried to be nice to you, I’ve even gone as far as trying to keep your little problems out of my conversations on the board, but you presistance is becoming irritating, I’ve told you the information and where to find it, I can’t help it if you are too lazy to look for it yourself. I’m not going to enter into a flame war with you cause I simply will ignore you. You are becoming a pain.
Please refrain from any further comments on any of my topics, unless it is a valid point! You might try to return some of my private messages sometime, or are you only interested in trying to make yourself look good?

Me too!
Why don´t You add those credentials as an explanation to the comment in Your Profile?
