Here are some shots taken in the vicinity of Myrtle Avenue on a day when the weather simply couldn’t make it’s mind up.

And here it is! I’m sure you’ll all agree that this is, indeed, a large post.

With my 30D being poorly (again!) all of the above were captured with my Canon 350D and either the Sigma 80-400 OS (head-on shots) or the Sigma 18-50.
This selection is dedicated to our very own PMN, who was there at the time but was prevented from capturing his own images by an aperture failure on his Bigma. 🙁
Enjoy…. 😀

Fine shots there Grey. The engines on the 340 still look to big for it!
I’m of to LHR for three months next week to learn the ways of the 777. I SHALL be taking the FinePix 6900z and the new all singing and dancing 5meg camera phone.

That’s very kind, Lance, thankyou. And a fine selection of images they are, too!
I’m completely confused by the aperture sticking on the 50-500. Even when detached from the camera body it stayed stuck. It was absolutely fine by the time I arrived at King’s Cross and all I can think is that the lens didn’t like the extreme temperature differences it had experienced over the previous four days.
Anyway, it seems fine now so I’ll just have to see what happens. Thanks again, and as for the large post… Priceless!
