“Fleet AV FAC PAC”
How the people in the Navy Photo Lab accross the hall used to answer the phone when I was in Misawa. They were a P3 unit. The USAF and USN photo units shared the same building.
It means “Fleet Audiovisual Facility, Pacific”

I am always changing my machine message. One of the first I had was of me starting a message and then ducking to avoid a dive bomber and subsequent explosion. Funny stuff, and my frineds loved it.

I think a company advertises in some of the Playstation magazines which sells these crazy answer phone messages.

It’s funny, but ever since I played Deus Ex I’ve had a strange urge to phone up MI6 – or some other powerful organisation – and say “Who will help the Widow’s son?”, just to see what happens.
Going off at a tangent, there. Sorry. 😉

Not quite military, but I’ve got a mission impossible one. It says somthing along the lines of ‘hello caller. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to leave a message…..bla bla bla!
well, it was novel at the time!

RE: Milatary Answer Phone Message
A guy I used to work with had a habit of answering the phone with the words “Hello Pentagon, want a fight?”
There is a UK MoD answer phone message that I’ve seen. I’ll try to dig it out and post it.
