It should position from Loch Lomond at the back of 9 for a departure around 10:00 to Oban. Leaves Oban again about 11:30 ish and back to Science Centre around noon or soon after. Departure again about 12:45 to 13:00then allow another 2 hours (and maybe a bit) for it to get there and back.
That would make sense as it passed me on the way in around 1500 or so on Saturday. It seems to be going well so far, looks like they want another plane already and more destinations…

What times are the sea plane flights on the Clyde? I know they have three arrivals and departures daily but no idea of the timings.

When it taxis out from Science Centre it should be another 15 mins until it starts its take-off run at Shieldhall. If you’re lucky you should be able to get some decent take off shots around Braehead (although if there’s a strong headwind or the water is having a “not so sticky day” it may have gained a bit of height by then). I haven’t been to Braehead to shoot it yet but it’s on the cards.
Keep an eye out for the wee yellow motor dinghy type thing that acts as a “lead car”. I think it lives across the river near the tall ship beside the heliport and Curry Karaoke place.
BTW … while lurking around the Science Centre area on Sunday this Agusta 109 popped into the heliport at 13:55 for a 20 minute fuel stop. First time I’ve been there when a visiting helo has come in.

Amazing coincidence that it was in yesterday then! 😀 Cheers.
It’s very rare for an Evergreen to route westbound via PIK,

I took the pic at 20:48 on 10/8/2007, it was eastbound, I can assure you. 🙂

Great selection as usual DJ, I like your shutter speeds. The Clyde Seaplanes Cessna Caravan looks the business in that livery, it came in low over the Braehead shopping centre on saturday as I sat in my car waiting to get into the carpark.
I really must kick my ass into gear and update my own collection, I haven’t been out snapping since last summer, and not to PIK for ages.
Must get that video collection into gear as well…

When you weren’t looking, it turned west and went to McGuire AFB, NJ and after that, it went south to Charleston, SC.!:D

Great photos, presumably Supertanker wasn’t on its way to Greece, it was operating in its freighter capacity?:)
It WAS heading east, but not to Greece,

Cracking shots – love them all but especially the dusk photos from PIK with the sun having just set behind Goat Fell. We do get some good sunsets round here 🙂
