Three Holer at MAN

Had a suprise to day (6/7/07) at work. Came around the end of pier B and there was……

The thoughtful types at Omni had painted the “10” in gloss grey so it sort of blended in with the “Grey Area” that is Manchester at the moment!!!
Mind you in the afternoon it did brighten up a bit.

Great shots of a DC-10 there.

Its great to see this companys aircraft operating out of a Civillain airport instead of Brize Norton.

CKing… I think there should be a forum collection to get you a nice camera so you can share more shots of aircraft from these awesome airside perspectives! 😀

Paul

Thanks Paul! I’ll have a Canon 400 with all the lenses!!!!;)

Seriously I do have a “Proper” camera that I some times take into work. The problem is that I can’t carry it around all the time, it would get in the way. Also, whilst I do try and avoid doing too much at work there are times when I end up rolling around in fuel, Skydrol or rackasan! This wouldn’t do it much good.
The camera phone is with me all the time and can be operated discreetly.

That “10” has been lurking about the airport all weeked so I managed to get another shot of it in better weather (camera phone, sorry Paul!;) )

Anybody else think it is disrespectfull term for a vanishing breed

How on Earth could calling a three engined aircraft a ‘three holer’ possibly be disrespectful?

Where did the term ‘three holer’ come from?:( Anybody else think it is disrespectfull term for a vanishing breed, do we have two holers and four holers?

Three holer.. “Tridentman”

Disrespectful…I took a picture of it and put it on the net, so no, quite the oposite.

two holers and four holers….They are all two holers these days, except when they are four holers. They are getting a bit rare aswell.

I like them all, Two three or four:)

Northern Git Thanks I’ll try
