First Thai 747 in new livery

Title of the thread says it all.

I thought the new livery suited the A340-500 well – but it looks very bland on the 747 – perhaps to much white?

This is the first 747 to have the new livery applied – its the former Thai 747 that wore the Royal Barge livery.

Yes, why do you ask?

I’m still trying to identify a “mystery” B747 that a couple of friends and I saw pass high over our heads on Maundy Thursday.

The rear fuselage was very like the rear fuselage in the new Thai scheme, that’s all.

The quest continues…… 😉

It certainly doesn’t adapt well to the larger fuselage of the 747

Maybe if they just made the engine cowlings purple and made the titles larger. That would balance it out more.

as it stands its an ill though out design. You can tell whoever designed this only had the A345 in mind.

Not sure when it was applied – but it was revealed in Thailand today (7th)

Also below:-

How it could look on their 737’s.

An should they have gone for something a little bit more like the design in the second pic?

Ahhhh!!! A mystery solved, perhaps.

Do we know when this livery was first applied to a B747?
