There is something else that could be pulled off the retiring Tariq class to finalise the weapons fit of the PNS Alamgir, the LY-60 SAM system. Bolt the box launcher forward of the Harpoon launchers. Then get the MK92 radar to talk to the missile system.

Would some sort of load carrying construction be necessary? I’m keeping the way 25mm cannon were mounted on USN Perry’s in the end in mind

Or was that done simply to raise the gun, so it could fire over the bow better?

(I don’t suppose they want to loose the forward vertrep spot, so I guess the question is whether what remains of the Mk13 launchers can support the weight)

It also begs the questions what would guide the LY-60? Can it rely on the CAS-egg, is there still space behind the main mast for a missile director (replacing original STIR)
