I like Icelandair, and the 757’s with winglets. I gather the 767 will soon receive the blended winglet treatment too…

They don’t look right on the 787, but meh. Iceland air are a good airline, they are getting a 787, with out winglets. I do want to fly on a 787, and icerland air. I havn’t flown with them yet, but i hear they are quite good. I’m plaing a trip to iceland this year, so if i do go it will be with iceland air and not BA, (unless they drop the flight price down)

Hi Allen, Havent heard anything about the 767 getting the winglet treatment I would have thought they might have raked the wigtips back like the T7

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

American Airlines have leased a 763 to Aviation Partners Boeing for trials with the blended winglets with a view to converting 58 of it’s 763’s by 2010. Austrian will be the European launch customer for the retro fit…

Cheers Guys for the comments,

Hi DJ, you are quite right about the north side, but the weather is just right for pictures at the moment , I have found that after about 3pm when the sun is out you get really good results from there

Nice shots, espically the iceland air. I love the livery and the airline. Also the 757 with wingtips are nice planes.

Nice shots Kevin, especially from the north side at that time during the day. Sometimes dull overcast weather has it’s advantages in summer at GLA, you wouldn’t get such excellent results if the sun was out from that position.
