Hey everybody.
Tommorow I have my second interview for a job in aviation. The last time the interview went great but it was the apptitiude test that I got confused with,however this time there is not test.
The job is with Servisair one of Dublins biggest ground handlers.
I would be checking-in,boarding and doing arrivals services. Can anybody tell me what such work is like??? Stressful,enjoyable etc.
I have always wanted to work in the airport and with people so this would be ideal. Ive completed an airport ops course and am studying travel and tourism so I think Im an ideal candidate.
As well any last minute interview tips???

Well I must compliment you all a very speedy repsone.
As far as I can remember I was told over the phone that the pay is about €8.50 an hour and the basic week is 37 hours long with overtime pay around €10.00 So fingers crossed for tommorow.

This type of job can be really fun, but it can also be like hell. If you really love aviation then you will of course love it. Good luck, by the way!

I started at Servisair over 10 years ago myself. Its a great environment if you like the unexpected and a bit of chaos (well a lot of chaos as it was then!). When flights are delayed, you’ll be expected to stay behind and help out but thats all part of the fun.
To be honest, its long hours to make a decent wage, but the atmosphere is usually great. You can get away with a lot being a PSA, like sitting those people who p**s you off at check-in on a really bad row or send their bags to the wrong place etc (did I really just say that!) :diablo:
As for the interview process, it was pretty much a one stage and they have your contract ready to sign when I was there. Maybe they’ve changed the process slightly, but as long you talk about customer service and being flexible with extra shifts etc, you’ll be fine. You’ll have great fun! Good luck!
