hey all
myself, Adam Kendall, and Sam McCrimmon hopped on a train or two and made our way down to Southend for the bank holiday airshow. The weather was, for want of a better word, awful. Still, we managed to have a fun time and get some photos atleast. Many of the displays were cancelled and interestingly, the traditional fast jets on the UK airshow scene werent even in the flying programme.
If you’re wondering why an airshow is of interest to the commercial aviation corner of this forum, a 747-400 of Oasis Hong Kong made an appearance on the Sunday, right at the worst moment. It was tipping it down and visibility was dreadful.
I guess you win some, you lose some.
Also, managed to photograph Saturdays Flybe service to Jersey.
The rest of my airshow photos will be posted in the airshow section later.
thanks

tried a slow shutter speed on this one

only six photos, there maybe more of the flybe later. 🙂

thanks for comments guys! I’ve been busy with coursework and the coming exams lately.
We will be sure to play catch up in two or so weeks – will be visiting Manchester, NEMA, LHR AND Paris. Can’t wait!

That sky looks nasty i dare say it was causing quite a bit of turbulence for the flying display

Great prop blur on the Dash!
Don’t worry about the 747 Adam. It’s displaying at the Biggin Hill Air Fair this weekend if you wanted to catch it in better weather.
Looking forward to seeing more of your pics.

Good to see you posting again, Adam. Such a shame about the weather on the 747 shots. I’m liking the prop blur in the third FlyBE shot!
