A Couple of Oldies!

Hi all,
Firstly apologies to the Moderators….I suppose these aircraft were commercial at some time in their life. I was at a meeting today at Boscombe and managed to snap these beauties with my little Kodak, just thought you guys might like to see them.

All the best

Si

Cool, did not know there where still BAC111s and Andovers flying around. Or do these no longer fly?

There are 2 or 3 BAC 1-11 flying at Boscombe Down.

Firstly apologies to the Moderators….

No need to apologise for showing us pictures of a great British airliner, Si.

The Andover looks nice, too. 😎

Cool, did not know there where still BAC111s and Andovers flying around……

There was a Romanian-registered BAC 1-11 in Manchester last week, Peter. 🙂

tenth, these aircraft are still flying (at least 2 sorties a day) with no sign of retirement yet. They are used by the Test Pilots School to give students a bit of good old seat of the pants multi engine handling experience.

Yes the Andover was a purely military application of the HS 748, not that I’m complaining mind you…;)
