A few pics from a short break to Vienna. Flew Austrian Airlines from LHR and was impressed with them.
Vienna is not the best place to take pictures unless you can get to some of the know spot. These were mainly taken from one of the car parks which for some of the day is into the sun. Vienna also offers a bus tour which allows a visit to the GA / Biz areas – photos through the bus window are possible but reflections can be a problem.

Jamie – the A330 is at rotation on take off not landing – would have liked to have gotten some touchdown shots but the other runway was in use.

yes – spent some time in there and the food was good but the glass is tinted so not great for pics. Might have had better luck if the departure / arrival directions had been different. There were mainly using the long runway, landing towards the terminal. Departures were mainly on the runway that goes in front of terminal but some traffic also used the other fordepartures as well.

There is a kind of panorama cafe in the departure area.
Towards the left end of the big hall, up the escalator.
Strudel and coffee ain’t bad.
Can see a good deal of take-off/landing runs there.
