Is there life to come
Will any of the budgies see life back in the air?
It is a very sad sight for British Aviation.
Lets hope some can be cleaned up and put in some museums.
The series one G-BEJD there is talk of it heading for Duxford but looking at the picture there a re a number of things missing on it as well as damage.

14 Budgies – G-ATMJ, G-BVOU, G-BVOV, G-AYIM, G-ORCP, G-SOEI, G-OTBA, G-SOEI, G-OSOE, G-BGMN, G-BGMO, G-OPFW, – including G-BIUV, G-BEJD both WFU before the demise plus the ex ZS-OCF (G-BPNJ I think) which wasn’t an Emerald machine.
G-SSWO will be the only SH36 there now, G-SSWA was brokjen up before after sale to a US owner, and G-ROND and G-JEMX were flown in from ABZ the day after the AOC was pulled.
G-JEMD was on a long term hanger jobbie and will still be inside there. G-JEMB was ferried up from MRS the day after the AOC being pulled and G-JEMA (ex LPL) and G-JEMC (ex IOM or vice-versa) appeared there in Nov/Dec so that’s 4 in total – G-JEME being in BBU at the time.

Hi Tartan
How many Budgies are stored there? from memory they should have about 20 of them, plus 2 short 360 and 6 ATP, If I’m right I counted about 12 budgies 1atp and 1 s360 in you’re pictures

Ah those Budgies… looking in such a state now! 🙁
‘JD’ didn’t have long for this world when the rest of the fleet were operating, never mind the state she’s in now, however the fact she’s out of the hanger seems to me like something else may be in and being worked upon to get airworthy.
‘WO’ another that was due for the scrapman’s axe, surprised she hasn’t followed ‘WA’ yet…
Great pics Tartan!
