GLA is Icelandairs secondary airport if they can’t get in to Iceland they go to Glasgow, has happened a few times before.

Wow 😮 so how do they get to iceland then or you stuck at GLA till weather clears. :confused:

Reason for all the Iceair 757 was extremely bad weather in KEF, and in fact on the whole of the island! Winds in KEF this morning were gusting to 60+ knots

😮 wow you have diversion from Iceland has that ever happened before?

taking a guess from ma e mail early it was a lgw diversion

LGW diversion today was N760AN B777 0605/0718 “AAL174” strand 6.

Ah well, shame I missed out on that. 2x Atlas 747’s, 1x KLM 744, an AA 772 and lots of FI 757’s….Not a bad amount of diversions for 1 week or so at GLA.
