This an idea thats been buzzing in my head for a while. I hoped to illustrate it on an A340-600 template but I’ve hit problems in creating it.
For now the A344 and 744 will suffice 😀 (although my 744 template is in the middle of an overhaul.)
This is just little tweak to add some sharpness to the livery.

They tried that already 🙂
Didn’t go down to well, Pilots called it SpiegelEi which translates into Fried Egg
Spiegelei was the Condor livery when the Thomas Cook symbol replaced the old condor on the tail of the yellow planes.

Are you referring to the Condor scheme that had yellow bellies? I liked their scheme better with the grey bellies and cowlings. They have enough yellow with the tail being all yellow.

Ok, how about a yellow belly instead of the blue, and then it doesn’t look like BA.

Funnily enough when United unveiled their new livery in the 90’s (ie not the most recent), many people felt that is strongly resembled the old BA Landor scheme. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and many thought United were trying to capitalise on the success and reputation of BA. Maybe the idea is that LH do the same…..?

I just played with the idea of a Lufthansa retro livery.
(plz forgive the crappy template, but I made it before Bmused started posting his how-to thread)

A nice improvement, it would look very good on an Aircraft!
Well done 😉

Very nice, althought I’m a fan of their current, very simple colour scheme.

Bit so few. How about a thin yellow cheatline above the blue underside and the current tail layout ??
