KLM to Dar Es Saalem

Hi Gents,

Just doing a little bit of digging as I’ve heard work may be shipping me to Tanzania for a few days next month.

We usually fly KLM with work, but I was wondering which aircraft operate to Tanzania in April? I’m sure I’ve heard MD11 mentioned (I’d be happy with that). That said, when at Schipol in November I noticed a 763 running the route.

Can anyone shed any details?

Fingers crossed this comes off! 🙂

KLM’s direct flight is a MD-11.

Another option is to take Kenya Airways (KLM code shares with them) which usually use the 777. They fly to Nairobi and from there you can take Precision Air to Dar Es Salaam. This can be booked from the KLM site.

Oh well, thanks guys. 🙂

The 767 is my least favoured widebody, but heh, a trip is a trip. I’ll keep you posted as to whether this happens or not!

Cheers! 🙂

BA use a 767 on the route. In April you have about a 30/70 chance of it being a refitted one, which means you get PTVs etc. Expedia show a 767 for KLM as well.

P.S. What equipment do BA use out of LHR on this route? 🙂
