A great little TV documentary

I’ve just been given a copy of an ‘Around Scotland’ documentary programme by BBC Scotland from 1984. It’s all about life at Glasgow Airport and features loads of excellent footage of the airport and support services plus tons of aircraft footage.

It also shows a fire training exercise using the old Trident G-ARRP,
plus an onboard trip to Barra and back on a Loganair Twotter.

Aircraft footage includes shots of B-Cal 1-11’s, BMA Viscounts, Aviaco DC-9’s, Orion and Britannia 732’s, BA Trident’s 1-11’s HS-748’s and a great shot of a BA 757 peforming a particulary heavy cross wind landing.

If anyone wants a copy, get in touch.

I’ll play it on slow motion to get the most out of it . . .
