Had a drive up to NEMA today to see the AN225.
Quite an amazing aircraft! Would love to see it in the air.
Also saw one of the An124 go airborne which was good.
Sorry for the softness/focus on some – I was shooting through the wire fence and not the hang of focusing through it yet!

Thank you for the comments 🙂
Really glad I went as it was a spur of the moment decision but well worth it. Seeing the An124 lift off was quite a sight so goodness knows what the An225 would be like!
It took off about midday today but unfortunately from posts on other forums it was fog bound so there were no photo opportunities.
Point of interest, it took the An124 about 45 minutes to reach Prestwick from NEMA according to the times on my photos the take off was at 15:18.

The Volga Dnepr AN124 UR-82078 came up to Prestwick arriving at 4-05pm and it’s just left about 15 minutes ago (midnight).
I wish the AN225 had done that same.

Well done that man!
I totally forgot the 225 was at NEMA today and was (sort of) in the area 😡
Your shot of the 2 Antonovs is great, unbelievable that something can sit next to an AN124 and make it look like a puddle jumper!!! 😀
