In the ‘Aircraft to do’ thread a number of you said you wanted to do a Tri flight. I’ve done quite a few (including two with Wys and Mrs Wys’ cat as handluggage!) and it’s up there as probably my favorite (certainly most fun) aircraft.
I found this that may be of interest to some of you, although I admit it’s not from the ideal airport.
Lydd Air do a ‘fly and dine’ special at 1130 every Saturday and Sunday. £39.
Check in at 1130.
Glass of wine.
Briefing with the Captain.
10-15 minute flight along the coast over Rye, Camber and Dungeness.
3 course lunch at the airport restaurant overlooking the apron.
It would be worth checking that you will definately get a Tri as Lydd Air do have other types, mainly Cessna I believe. And you’ll have to be quick as the Tri fleet is for sale pending purchase of a Shorts 360.
