Ahoy all!
OK, I’m a newbie and this is my first post. I’ve taken a series of commercial aircraft images whilst at Heathrow from underneath. Let me know what you think. 🙂

These are 75% reduced. Original full sized versions are posted on my online gallery (for purchase).

Ahoy Kev35!
Thanks for the reply. Comments noted. I’m not intending to advertise (honest) which is why I keep the full sized versions on another online gallery database, the link for which is not advertised anywhere.
The link provided for the reduced images is for general viewing, so I hope that explains the difference.
My apologies if I have made an error in this regard. Glad you liked one or two of the images anyway. 🙂
As for the images in general, I was located in a small car park just off Heathrow (near Feltham) which is flanked by trees. The only view was up or slighly towards the runway so there was no time to frame any shot. You heard the engines, caught a glimpse of the aircraft just before it came over the trees and took the shot before is disappeared over some more trees. So the bulk were from underneath.
I’m just glad that nearly all came out OK in terms of image quality. Perhaps if the opportunity presents itself in future, I may be able to find a better vantage point. This is all new to me (as is the camera), so it’s still a learning curve.

Apart from the fact that I thought advertising was illegal under the Forum’s Code of Conduct, which you sign up to when you register, why on earth would people want to purchase photographs of airliner centre sections, airliners obscured by trees and airliners with various bits cut off where they wouldn’t fit in the frame? Most of us throw those shots away.
Having said that there are one or two very nice side views and the AA in B&W is very nice indeed.
Regards,
kev35

Ahoy Future Pilot and PMN!
I appreciate your kind remarks and welcome messages. Seems the B&W AA 777 is getting the most comments. That said, I even contacted AA to see if any of their 777 drivers might want to purchase the full sized version, but no response as yet (a suggestion from another forum).
Anyway, it’s nice to be part of ‘the family’.

Thanks everyone, you’re too kind
Ahoy all!
Many thanks for the kind words. I’ll respond to all questions/points made:
Tartan Pics. Yes, I wanted to give a modern aircraft a 1930’s 1940’s look. A contradiction in terms, but a lot of people have commented on that photo.
Adamdowley, heslop01, A330-300 Thanks for all your kind remarks. I’ll add more images as and when. Those posted are pretty much trial and error, but most came out half decent.
Avast Ye!
P.S. I had some initial bother with registration. The original post was from me with my former username. All further posts will be as per this post.

Welcome aboard Pirate.
Interesting selection there, the b/w AA 777 is nice ( a bit unusual to see a modern airliner in b/w)
