You’re allowed electrical items in cabin baggage now aren’t you? I imagine this will include cameras.
from newcastleinternational.co.uk
Another LBA, Thomas Cook are basing a 757-200 at NCL this winter. There are two 757-200 at Newcastle this summer.
Thanks for the info.

Just out of interest – where was the shot of the Finnair 757 taken from – I’m assuming it’s from the road near the 25 end of the runway near the nature reserve??

Fab shots there. Doese any body know what Thomas Cook will be basing at NCL this Winter?

Or the havana nature reserve at the back of the airport, could catch some aircraft there.

When I went to the badger I didn’t see a thing! It’s a little confusing to reach but look out for dobbies world of flowers or summit and you should find it

Thanks for that, we will certainly want a good meal because the hotel food isn’t up to much (their breakfasts are OK but that’s all).
How do you get there?
Right the badger is walking distance from the hotel just come out of the airport and turn to your right and follow the road until u see the sign for the badger and its just on your right hand side.

May i suggest u head round to wings the airport bar over at the old termial see what u can get from there then head for the end of runway 25 you could get some great images from there. And if your after a good meal head for the badger next to the gardan center.

I hope the restrictions will be totally eased by the time we fly. If not, then this will be the first time I’ve flown on holiday without my video camera in years. It has been on every holiday flight with me since 2000 and I’ve managed to get some superb footage at various airports like MAN, BRU, DUB, BHX, LCY, CDG. I was looking forward to getting it into the departure lounge at NCL to get some easyJets and our own plane.
I check the situation on most days but there are no updates yet.
My digital camera isn’t suitable for NCL because the zoom is not so strong from where we are (Britannia Hotel) but the video would have got the take offs easily.

Does any one know if some sort of turbo prop landed at ncl in the small hours of saturday morning as something came over my house heading for ncl making a hell of a racket!!
By: Britannia - 21st August 2006 at 14:29
I flying in a few weeks to Mahon, no way my camera is going into the hold.
By: lukeylad - 21st August 2006 at 14:27
Nice photos. I’m back at NCL in a couple of weeks and not too happy that I can’t take my video camera with me because it exceeds baggage size for allowed hand luggage 😡
It has a strong zoom and is perfect for filming approaching and departing planes.
Keep an eye out for changes mate.
Great shots mate been a while since theres been some ncl action.
