Glasgow 18/8 (including new shooting place)

Hi all
Had 10 mins spare passing GLA just as French Falcon 50 was lining up, one mad dash later got the shot:

Some new remote stands have just been opened at GLA on the site of an old hangar, today is the first chance i’ve had to go have a sniff at the fence area beside it, the below are all taken from the eastern side of the Loganair hangar, to give anyone an idea of what this spot is like. this spot has potential for some great shots (as long as they don’t park anything on one of the new stands hehe)

PS the entire time i was at the airport todays US Air 757 was sitting at the holding point, joined by the AA 767, i left the airport, drove to Glasgow picked up some stuff for work, drove back past the airport to see the 767 take off!!! hope the pax had a good film to watch Hehe

Great shots mate, I really like the Globespan parked at the stand shot. I was up at GLA on Thursday and got a bit lost trying to find somewhere to take photos. Drove past the back of BA maintnance and past the end of the runway and ended up down a road that had a diversion sign saying the road was closed and was directed out onto the motorway…maybe next time I will have better luck.

Si

I was the same when I went to GLA, couldn’t find anywhere to spot the aircraft, so I ended up just looking out the window in the Terminal.

Great shots! Like the 1st Globespan! 🙂

Is that fokker the one that arrived at 10ish or around about there and parked beside the Us 757 at the iNTERNATIONAL PEIR? If it was I WAS Sitting in seat 22B .

I think it may be, the shot was of her taxiing out at 1133am
GAZ It will be awesome for anything parked nose in, perhaps a little too close if anything, the fence is only about 30 feet from the wheel stop lines 😀 (fish eye??)
Si: no luck there, man. if you are back up, give any of the GLA guys a shout ,or,(shameless plug) i have a map of spots on my website 😀 😀
Thanks Tom and Peter, you should check it out Peter, it’s just behind the taxi rank beside the LC hangar.

:O You weren’t wrong Tartan! That does look like a great place to spot. Will it be good for head on shots of the aircraft parked on the new stands?
