Some new route news

I just came across some new route news today which I havnt seen posted here yet so here it is.It comes from around the world so everyone shoud find somthing interesting.

”EasyJet will inaugurate nonstop service from Belfast International to Berlin Schoenefeld on July 1st and to Rome Ciampino on July 2nd. Each of the routes will be served with a daily flight.”

”Cathay Pacific will inaugurate nonstop service from Hong Kong to Xiamen on February 28th. The airline will operate 3 flights a week, on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays, with an Airbus A330.”

”AeroMexico becomes the latest airline to opt for the Boeing 777. The airline signed to lease 2 B777-200ERs from ILFC. The 2 new aircraft are leased for 10 years and will be delivered in February and March 2006 for operations on its transatlantic routes from Mexico City to Madrid and Paris.”

”New Global Spirit Airlines Airlines, a Pakistani-UK joint venture, is planning to start operations on July 6th. The new airline will operate a Boeing 747 on the Islamabad to Manchester route.”

”Ryanair in talks to start service to Malta. The airline is considering starting service from various European cities to Malta. Pending talks about landing fees and other issues the airline could start service as early as September.”

”Estonian Air will inaugurate nonstop service from Tallinn to Milan on March 30th. The airline will operate 2 flights a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays with a Boeing 737-500 adding a 3rd flight on Mondays from June to September.
The airline is expanding on other routes adding a Friday morning flight on the Tallinn-Oslo route from the beginning of March and a Saturday flight from the end of March ; on the Tallinn-Dublin route Estonian will go from 2 to 4 flights a week from June to September by adding Tuesday and Friday flights to the existing Thursday and Sunday flights.”

”EUjet will inaugurate nonstop service from Manston to Budapest on March 28. The airline plans to operate 2 flights a week using a Fokker 100.”

”British Airways has applied for 5 additional frequencies on its London-Nigeria route. Currently the airline operates 7 flights a week on the Lagos route and 5 a week to Abuja. BA wants to increase frequency for the coming summer season.”

”Centralwing, the new Polish low cost airline of LOT which is scheduled to initiate operations on February 1st, signed a cooperation deal with Germanwings yesterday.”

”Etihad has applied for slots at the Brussels Airport to operate 3 weekly flights from Abu Dhabi. In its application the airline requested routing is Abu Dhabi-Brussels-Toronto. SN Brussels Airlines would be in talks about a possible codeshare with Etihad.”

”Thomsonfly has introduced its first Boeing 737-300 into service.”

”Croatia Airlines will take delivery of an additional Airbus A320 in May 2005. The aircraft is ex-Skyservice (C-GJUQ). The airline will begin nonstop service from Split to Brussels on April 2nd. The weekly Saturday Airbus A319 flight will operate in codeshare with SN Brussels Airlines.”
