Well last night I found out that we had a special vistitor operating from Thomsonfly for their delayed PMI flight, so special infact I dragged myself out of my much more comfy bed at 5am this morning  (I must be mad :diablo: ) and made my way down for the 6am arrival.
Here’s some of the other arrivals on 15 while I was hanging around and sorry for the various sizes but I can’t help what Photobucket does to them .
Finally caught that Air Class Airways!

Holding short of 15 before heading off to Faro.

Was nice to see some winglets for once 😎 .

First time vist of this particular aircraft, N19141.

And here we have the special visitor! Corsair B744 (F-HSEX) subbing for a B763 which was running very late.

I think it was worth it ;), hope you enjoyed! 😀

I knew of Sheldon County Park.
I dropped my parents off for their flight, but I had a car load of stuff as well which made me nervous about parking it anywhere unsecure etc.
To be honest, I also had no useful map…therefore couldn’t find Marston Green railway station!
Will be actually planning my next visit!

Well I was in ‘Sheldon Country Park’ which is at the 15 threshold, easily accessible. I parked just outside Marston Green railway station, cross over the one of the bridges on the platform and you’ll see the entrance to the park, just walk down to the spot pointed out in the picture below which takes about 10 minutes.

On your other point spotting is tolerated in the long stay carpark, especially if you go to the very end of long stay one at the 33 threshold. I go there all the time armed with a step ladder and a 350D and have never been bothered! if anything security just come up and have a chat.

Where were you standing to get those shots?
I was there on thursday when the Corsair 747 departed, but noticed the visitors area is now a building site:( Did’t fancy lingering around the car park.

Excellent shots there… well done on your dedication, good show. I was planning on being out the door at GLA for the monday morning goodies, but woke at 6am to the sound of rain, and back to sleep i went.
Photobucket seems to be having a wee turn, my latest set are the same with the odd sizes

******, I didn’t know that! Didn’t realise BHX had a stand big enough for a 773! And I’m booked on the A330 flight tomorrow evening! 🙁 Oh well, at least I’ve flown on a 773ER before!

Thank you very much for the kind comments everyone! 🙂
BTW, do you know why Emirates are scheduling 77W equipment (777-300ER) on the lunchtime service at BHX at the moment?
Well the flight has been permanantly upgraded to the 77W, looking at the EK website it shows it being used all the way through to March 07, from there on it won’t tell you what equipment is but I imagine it will stay the same.

I can’t believe you actually decided to do that! That’s dedication, or is it madness? 😉 Looks to have paid off though! Very nice shots.
