Hi All,
I had my second day on the trot at LBA today, primarily to test out my new Sigma 50-500 DG lens. 🙂 Unfortunately it was another one of those days where the Sun didn’t feel like coming out to play so the shots are pretty poor, but nonetheless it was interesting to see how the lens performed. It certainly allowed me to get much more ‘up close and personal’ than I could before…
Anyway… Enjoy!

And today’s special quiz… Can you identify this cunningly disguised forum member?

Ah what the hell… Here’s a clue…

All answers to the LBA-EGNM quiz must be in by midnight on Saturday 😀 .

I recognise those eyebrows!!! :diablo:
That’s a poxy lens you’ve got there, Paul. Would you like me to… ahem… look after it for a while? It’d be no trouble at all. :D:D:D:D

Fantastic as ever mate, especially the Astraeus and Cable and Wireless.
Also love those of Steve!
Whilst you and Danny were enjoying yourself at MAN today, I popped up to LBA for an hour this morning. Should have some shots on soon :).

I still don’t get this photography lark – why the hell do you need a lense that means you have to sit at the back of the cemetry to get a full frame shot!
On a serious note… I quite like some of the close up’s – a little differant!
Cheers Steve!
The thing with the Sigma lens is I can sit/stand on the wall and get full frame shots. I was stood on the wall at the closest point to the airfield when I took the shots of LSAC, I just like to take shots sometimes from further up the hill so I don’t end up with 300 photos from exactly the same angle.
The only problem with standing on the wall is the 7 foot drop on the other side. For a person with the balancing skills of a severely intoxicated giraffe, big drops arn’t good!
