Hi all,
I used CVT for the first time over the last few days on a last min booking, I fly several times weekly which regularly includes lo-cos (before I get the usual you get what you pay for regime), and was throughly unimpressed with the chaos, not with the airline, but the airport!
1. Check in in the small portacabin was queing through the door with one desk for VLC out of a possably four – it was the only scheduled departure at the time.
2. Struggling for seating for one full B735, never mind 2 that were due – how does this departure “lounge” cope at peak times?
3. Screens showed more advertising than departure info – the 2 hours delayed AGP flight still had no info on the board!
4.Baggage arrival too over 15 mins from pax having walked from furthest stand to arrivals reclaim – why?
5. No covered airport bus stop (yes – you’ve to stand outside when it rains as you cant wait in the arrivals exit!) – when the bus arrives it drops off in the staff carpark, before going to the bus depot to swap drivers and turn around, before heading to the car park (happened both ways!). Over an hour from landing to reaching the car is appalling.
This will be the last time they get my custom if possable – the airline however (Thomsonfly) were a decent little outfit who will probably get further bookings via DSA – a shame about CVT with their tin-pot, Portacabin mentality. I fear that even when/if they get further terminal planning permission this will not alliviate many of their problems on the pax side!
Have any other forum members used tha facilities, and if so what were there opinions?
