I had a fun couple of days this week helping out in the recently acquired Omega 707 currently based at Prestwick which was bought from the Indonesian Air Force.
The inside needed a good clean and was a bit wiffy too so 6 of us set about it with cleaning fluid and Jiffys doing our best to remove as much of the grime as possible and put some shine on the interior walls.
I was back for a second day (the morning only) to finish off detatching the seats from the floor to have them ready for removal, let’s say they are well past their best now.
Once the maintenance work is complete it will be flying off to Arizona for fitting out for connversion into a Tanker so we may see it back here later in the year working when the JMC meets comes around as one is usually based for about a week to tank Fighter aircraft.
Here are some photos taken over the two days.
