FLYING HEIGHT FROM GLA TO EDI

Does anybody know what height turboprops and jets fly at when they fly from GLA to EDI?

Who runs the route between EDI and GLA? Never seen it myself, I assume its a Scotland > Onwards route?

I would hazard a guess at anything between 2000 and 10000 depending on the equipment used, and the type of flying being conducted.

It was Manx who flew it. I can’t remember if it was in Manx colours though  I think it was.

It was a Jetstream 41 and I think it was routing EDI – GLA – CWL and it happened around ’94 or ’95.

BA once operated a flight that went GLA-EDI-BHX-DUS

I know as I flet it… twice. The flight number was 8881 or something similar. Lots of 8’s in it anyway

Some years ago now but I flew in a 146 at about 5000′ from EDI to GLA. I thought it strange that they gave us the ditching drill until I saw all the lakes (and golf courses!) on the route. Spectacular ride!
mmitch.

Excellent, they gave you a ditching drill – hahaha I flew it once on a Jetstream 41 and the flight took 20 mins, so I guess we would have not have got over 8 – 10k? maybe even only 6k

I’ll have to find out for sure? It’s bugging me
