Trying something new with my new camera – overflight shots. These were all taken from my backgarden this morning. Excuse the quality of them – it will get better! lol.
Enjoy.
1. United Airlines 777-200 heading back to the States.
2. Heading to FRA, high up is this Evergreen 747. Not sure if its a 100 or a 200 varient…?
3. Possible China Airlines 747-400? – Heading west.
4. Privatair BBJ – heading over to the states no doubt.
5. A Eurocypria 737-800 w/winglets heading back to Cyprus, possibly from Ireland? A shame it had the Grey tail though – the blue would have stood out more.
And just after i came back inside, put the camera away, what should come over, heading for LHR?! – A Varig MD-11 😡 Always the way aint it!
Enjoy the pics.

Nice shots Andy – love the BMI pic. Great lighting. Didn’t realize the elevators were painted red on them!

Is this one of those operators that has first class seating only?
Yes, they operate a few scheduled services for other airlines, and also quite a few private charters. Fleet consists of A319s, BBJ1s, a BBJ2, and a 757.

Amazing shots, especially the Malev 767-200. The last time I saw one of these was in Budapest… 🙁

Yes, they’re one of the new “blue chip” operators, catering for the needs of the well heeled. Popular with business executives and the like.

Could this be a commerical operator? There is a 737NG with winglets that operates daily out of EWR to and from Europe (from what I’ve been told) with a similar livery. If I remember correctly it has a Swiss tail and a German registration. I’ve gone through my pictures hoping to find a picture of this jet but I didn’t find any.
Anyone else have any info?

terrific shots Andrew, great to have a different perspective, I love looking at the planes in the overhead where I live with binoculars, I can see most of the LHR traffic going to the americas from my house, would love to have the equipment to photograph them as you have but Im not sure the wife would be very forgiving if I spent a small fortune on a lense capable 🙂
Dean.
