Whoops! – Accidents-Incidents…

…..Heavy Landings-Wobbly Landings :diablo:
Here’s a few pics I’ve taken over the last few years of heavy/wobbly landings etc.
Not all are Commercial Aviation as such but hopefully I’ll get away with it :dev2:

1) F-27 Crew Training @ PIK
2) BAW 737 Crew Training @ PIK
3) USAF C-130 wobbly
4) USAF C-130 with port inner prop feathered
5) Ce-172 at Cumbernauld which looks like it’s had an argument with a muddy field 😮
6) USAF C-9 – Lady Driver, honest
7) Same C-9, ‘slightly’ right of centerline dear 😮
8) KLM 737 @ GLA wobbly
9) Beech nosewheel collapse, small airfield in Delaware
10) Cargolux 747 ‘firm’ touchdown @ PIK

The best one I saw was this Aer Lingus arriving sideways at GLA last winter. You could smell the burning rubber !

I have my first ryanair flight in over 10 years this tuesday so well see how those landings go.

Great Pictures, loved the hangar joke! 😀

I’m sure your Ryanair flight will go fine, i’ve travelled LPL-DUB many times, but everytime i fly with them i’m reminded by British Airways passengers i’m flying on “Eire-flot”

Personally, i think thats a bit harsh, i love the big airline based in my country. 😡

😮 How did the Hurricane do that without taking the plane with it!!!

In the South hangars aren’t used as much as the weather is warm year round with nothing more than rain as precipitation. Obviously hurricanes aren’t the norm and most aircraft hangars aren’t hurricane proof so they aren’t seen a means of protecting aircraft in such storms.

Chances are the aircraft in the picture wasn’t found in that attitude. Most aircraft after a hurricane are found smashed into stationary objects. I would guess that the Aztec was tossed around quite a bit which tore off the wings and later moved back to the ramp for inspection for the insurance adjuster.

Do Americans know what HANGERs are!?!? 😮

Yes, do you? 😉

The picture of the bent Cessna reminded me of this one… It was the result of Hurricane Andrew. Imagine coming back to the airport to find your pride and joy looked like that?

Good photos. The KLM one looks kind of dodgy.

Most of them are your everyday landings at Airports allover the World, it’s not very often you get a text book landing
