New routes to:
Hamburg
Seville
Marseille
Naples
Bergamo
Bergamo surprises me as they serve Malpensa (and maybe even Linate?)

Would it not have been easier to fly EI to Nice and drive to
Marseille

Excellent! A new Marseille route, should make a change to going via CDG if the prices and/or times are right!

This will meen Alitalia will be the only operator on the DUB-MXP route but would Bergamo put some people off and push them towards AZ who Dublin flights are quite resonably priced.

ORK will transfer to BGO or Orio as the Aer Lingus site puts it.MXp is donw to be back on next summer but then again the new routes havt been added to the timetable section.
Orio al Serio is another name for Bergamo (BGY). Suppose it has lower overheads than MXP and is just as close to Milan city centre as MXP (i.e. a long way away).

So is Bergamo next summer? So what will happen to DUB/ORK-MXP this winter, and to ORK-Milan long term – will they be giving up ORK-Milan all together or transferring it to Bergamo?

Just to add all Aer Lingus flight to Milan this winter are into Linate so Malpensa has already been dropped.

Im shocked because I was only thinking about what new routes theyd announce today for summer 05.I must be physic.4 new routes from Dublin and theyll compete with HLX who are going daily to Hamburg from Dublin next summer.Im still surprised that we have no flight to Athens but none the less this is great news and has made my day.

Reading on airliners.net that Bergamo is replacing MXP, LIN continues unaltered.
I suppose this makes sense if Aer Lingus are a low fare airline. Also Bergamo is same distance from Milan as MXP so passengers less likely to complain at move
