Hi all,
went to MAN tonight to go around various places to do abit of spotting! A couple of interesting aircraft parked up were a United Arab Emirates Hercules, also a West Air Europe BAe-ATP was parked up for a while and eventually Departed, but after we had been to the T1 car park we thought we’d go to this area near the end of the runway, but, the Police turned up and said you are not aloud there, so we moved along abit, then we saw a security gaurd walking our way so we drove off, and then we drove past the police car that stopped us, obviously they were making sure we had gone!
So, obviously since all the press on how some security at MAN is abit dodgy they have got to work and are making sure it is a whole lot better! Abit sad for us spotters at MAN but I suppose it’s best overall for the safety of the passengers on the aircraft. 🙂

The West Air Europe ATP does the Evening FEDEX freight run from GLA-MAN-CDG & back again in the early hours of the morning.
The afternoon FEDEX freight run operating GLA-MAN-STN was operated by an Air Contractors ATR42, but is currently being operated by an F27 following their takeover of BAC Express.
