Can anyone tell me how a post I placed on the forum today enquiring about something has mysteriously disappeared from here? 🙁 🙁 🙁

I think the best place for a ‘flame war’ would be on the General discussion forum where they can have a thread just for their own pointless arguments without bothering us.

I dare say it wont be long before you put the gloves on, I half expect you to come rapping at my door.

May I say that all this snitching to the moderator behind other members backs is quite unappetising. I am not a snitch.

Anyway, back to aviation!

It’s not snitching, it’s called bad post reporting. It’s a function of the forum, and the fact you have been reported to the mods (as well as countless others) is part and parcel of the system. Might I suggest you relax a little and try to do a little more than posting constant complaints about commercial aviation matters post 1989? 😀

I think it’s known round certain parts as “changing the record” ? 😉

Oh yes and read the smilies. :p

I can appreciate the need for moderators. However, I do think sometimes our man could have given the late Mary Whitehouse a run for her money!

I accept that sometimes posts/threads have to be removed and I for one enjoy using this forum, so I abide by the rules. We are only human though and sometimes we get a bit carried away with our posts. I dont think there is anything wrong in that. We are all passionate about aviation and want to have our say, forcefully sometimes!

Very drole Danairboy, let me suggest that you are very good at digging your own hole. Let me also suggest that you try and moderate, respond to countless PM’s in a fair and honest fashion and deal with everyone’s concerns similarly.

If you feel I’ve been particularly harsh on you then that’s too bad. Despite your ego, I have no desire to censor you anymore than anyone else who falls foul of the carefully drafted posting guide stuck at the top of the forum.

Unfortunately, you seem to be fairly high on the list of complaints I recieve from other users as to your conduct and quite frankly I’d advise you not to treat those complainers or myself as fools.

My advice to you and everyone else is to keep this forum relevant, keep the bitching to yourselves and show a maturity that will make the forum shine. If you haven’t already read the code of conduct, then read it now. Print a copy and keep it by your PC.

If you have read it and understand why it’s there, then self moderate, and there will be little requirement for all of this whining, which frankly some of you do an awful lot of. This isn’t a full time job I have, it’s an agreement.

As for GLA etc I believe he’s been nabbed. :p

I’m not the one criticising the moderation on here, danairboy: you are.

No use trying to back away from it now, dear boy. :diablo:

Oh how you would like that Grey! However I accept RenFrews moderation and wish to remain an active member of this forum, despite people trashing my posts by bringing up airline food even when I never even mention it!

I am just saying that our wee Scot has sometimes been a little over-zealous with his censorship. He seems fair though!

I disagree with that. Special treatment just because he is near GLA? Who cares where he, or any trouble maker, is from. You wouldn’t be doing that if it was anyone else, just get him deleted/ banned from this forum because he is well and truely spoiling everyones enjoyment of it. 😡

You missed the . there RIP 🙂
