Paris Air Show

I know it’s a while off yet but is anybody thinking of going to the Paris Air Show? I’ve been a few times and, yes, I appreciate it’s easier for me being based in London. But I’ve always found it worthwhile. There are mainly non airliner things at the show – but usually several things of interest to us. Lots of Biz jets if you are into them. Then there’s the chance of going to CDG and ORY too. The first time I went I was only 14 and went on an organised tour, but these days I sort it out myself. I haven’t been spotting in Paris for two years so I’m looking forward to the newer stuff – Air Bourbon, Air Tahiti Nui etc. CDG isn’t the easiest place for spotting, but during air show week the spotters take over and security tend to let them get on with it. Discretion and forward planning are needed at CDG, but ORY is not difficult as it has its own viewing terrace (recently re-opened as far as I know).
