Post here (no more than 10 pics – please do try to reduce filesize of them) your fave pics taken BY YOU! this year so far.
Mine are as follows:
1. G-AWZK sitting idle at LHR… quite saddened by this shot, knowing that she wont be at LHR for much longer – a shame really that she spent the past few years behind this fence. 🙁
2. Getting to go airside at the Southend 2004 airshow was great. Certainly worth the fiver to get in – I shall deffinately go back next year. Seen in my second shot is G-DOCI, an ex- BA 737-400, painted ready to start a new life with CSA – to me a very lucky shot. 🙂
3. Getting to finally visit a militry air base – RAF Lyneham! A herc in the air that day more or less every 5 minutes! My attempt at snapping one on approach – ZH871.
4. Snapping Concorde G-BOAA in Isleworth a week before her journey to Scotland began – flying the flag. 🙂
5. Snapping her again one week later – my best shot of concorde, shame it wasnt to be one of her airbourne. 🙁
6. Once more. What a backdrop! Though still a very sad end.
7. G-BOAB towed to her airside storage area, with the press getting one last chance to snap some pics of her.
8. F-OGQQ on finals (Rwy27L) at LHR on 2/6/04. My best picture from LHR this year by far.
9. Getting to see my first ever delivery flight – and that was only by pure luck. EC-IYB, the first Airbus 330 for Air Madrid seen her at Filton about to get underway.
10. And finally the day Allen, michael and myself went to Dublin – seeing the Special scheme Ryanair fleet was great – only missed out on seeing the Hertz rent-a-car one. The best one though by far is the “Jag Jet”.
And thats my 10 – there are many more memories i’d like to post from this year, but they are some of the best. I’ll also never forget the GLA meet 😉 lol – what a day that was!
I look forward to all of you taking part.

Not many civvies (only been to LHR once this year – 2nd time tomorrow), but 10 of my favourites….. plenty of others I’m happy with, but tried to pick some from every event I attended, and to include as many civvies as possible.

So many pics to choose from… pinning it down to 10 is really hard! And that is not even counting the non aviation photos! Most of the photos you may have seen here or at JP.net before, but then this is some of the best of my work!
1) sunset, KLM 737 taking of from the Polderbaan.
2) Helvetic landing on the Kaagbaan.
3) my return flight waiting at SXF. Shame about the stairs. Bigger shame that they are no more.
4) Tupolev taking of from the Kaagbaan in “rocket-mode”.
5) UA new livery 777 taking of rather more slowly.
6) Nice DC-8 waiting at Schiphol Oost. Unfortunately the owner replaced this plane with a 762. I don’t know what happened with the ‘8.
7) China Airlines (Taiwan) flying away from AMS.
8) Extremely rare plane at AMS, a Tu-134!
9) Not rare at all at AMS, but getting rare everywhere else in Europe! NW DC-10.
10) An-140 at the Farnborough air show. Looking rather impressive for a plane its size.
