By SPL.
I already mentioned some changes coming up for the panorama deck. Herewith the facts as far as they are known;
Main entrance will be the West entrance, next to Food Village on Schiphol Plaza.
At the end of Panorama Deck South (near Dakota Bar/Touchdown Restaurant and D-pier) a pavillion will be built; this will be used as a kind of waiting room with exhibition space.
The Panorama Deck will also be extended; it will be possible to walk over the D-pier. Also the platform tour will return. The best of all; it will be possible to make an excursion to the old Control Tower (known as The Dome) at the cross section of the D-pier
The part on the D-pier from the main deck to The Dome will be covered by some kind of steel mesh or net, so nothing can be thrown on the platform. Taking pictures through this will be difficult. I don’t know if it’s totally accessible or it’s only a way through on a tour to The Dome.
If I’m correct the admittance fee will be 1 Euro at first; this will certainly become more expensive later on. Vending machines will be placed which will sell tokens and then access to the panorama deck will be possible through turnstiles.

Martijn(translation: John)

Nice to see it getting investment, unlike the closures we see all the time in the UK. I was continually amazed when I was there in August how they could afford to run it for free. I doubt an entrance fee will deter many people, as FRA still gets thousands of people to its deck, and it costs several Euros to get in.
