Hi all,
Was lucky enough to go on holiday to the Maldives this year. We stayed on an island called Meedhupparu, which involves a 40-minute seaplane flight with Maldives Air Taxis.
This is the first time that I’ve tried uploading any of my own photos, I apologise in advance for the fact that they are not to the excellent quality that are normally posted. My camera is seriously lacking in the zoom department, hence the reason for loss of close-up detail.
I also have some video footage of the seaplanes which I intend to rip from my video camera this week, and will upload to my website.
In the meantime, here are the photos.

Those pics from the Maldives seem to define the word ‘breathtaking’ pretty well I’d say, they are all superb, thanks for showing them. 🙂

At Male, we had an hour’s wait before catching an Emirates A330 to Colombo in Sri Lanka, for our return flight back to Heathrow.
Great post..great pics! It’s teeming with rain in Scotland
(Livingston) at the moment… Dead jealous… 🙁 🙁 🙁

At Male, we had an hour’s wait before catching an Emirates A330 to Colombo in Sri Lanka, for our return flight back to Heathrow.
The first 2 photos are taken at the seaplane ‘depot’.
A SriLankan A320 came in while we were sitting in the transfer bus waiting to cross the runway. 😮
The last 2 photos are taken from the SriLankan A340 somewhere over the Middle East, flying at 36000 feet.

These are some photographs taken out of the window on the way back to Male from the island … the window had a few drops of water on it (as you might expect 😀 ) hence the reason for a slight blurring on a couple of them.
