Underserved Air Routes in The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Sorry about the horrifically long title- wanted to set a record!

The question is stated in the title, no need to repeat.

Heathrow- anywhere in T.U.K.O.G.B.A.N.I. other than MAN/EDI/GLA
Scottish Isles- London (actually, no link whatsoever!)

As well as for Europe:

Heathrow-Tuscany, most of France, the Balkans and the Baltic states
Belfast-anywhere other than Spain and Portugal

CWL to anywhere other than the U.K. Massive potential for more lo-co routes to Spain & Germany and full service routes to NY if Stanley Thomas would invest in the airport e.g Build new access road, extend terminal upwards to get rid of the god awful low ceilings, create more shopping outlets & actually put together a credible stratagy of attracting airlines.

Must agree – LBA to Germany. My wife is off to Frankfurt tomorrow – LBA-AMS then AMS-FRA as an alternative to a very early trek over the Pennines to MAN!

MAN to Australasia and Africa!
Bring QF and SAA back please!!!

Although it’s an inconvenience, most of these destinations can be reached by operating via one airport with the same airline or alliance.

Heathrow serves just about every destination imaginable, but I’d like to see some direct links between the capital and some Caribbean/Latin American destinations such as St. Maarten and maybe even the Dominican Republic, a country that is becoming more and more popular every year with tourists. You can only get to the country with charter carriers at the moment. Perhaps a twice weekly 767 service from LHR would be popular. 😀

LBA to anywhere in Germany. Its shocking you cant fly to Germany direct from LBA.

And on the charter front – Cyprus. You can fly to both Larnaca and Paphos from Humberside, but unbelieveably, you will not be able to fly to either from LBA next year.
