Ticket on departure charge, why??

It always amazes me when you go to book a last minute holiday. First you see a good deal in the window of your travel agent and go in to make enquiries . That price is for 6 sharing a one-bedroomed apartment and underoccupancy is charged. You want a meal on plane, an extra £10, transfers? extra £10 and then the best of all a ticket on departure charge. Why?? A ticket costs the same to print for each passenger, its just an excuse for the company to get more money out of you.

How do they get away with it?

In these days of vertical integration they are one and the same company anyway. It is relevant!

Horizontal integration is more interesting.? :dev2:

How do they get away with it?

It’s not based on economics…more on what they can get away with.. 😡

Thank you Grey 🙂

Now explain to me, what does your other topic you started today have to with Commercial Aviation?

The charges levelled by high-street travel agents have nothing to do with commercial aviation, however much you insist otherwise.

Maybe there’s a travel agents’ forum where you could vent your spleen? :p

Listen Mr 10,000 posts. Tour operators utilise the services of charter carriers. In these days of vertical integration they are one and the same company anyway. It is relevant!

Im only been a ‘critic’ (Apparantly), because you have posted two topics which have nothing to do with Commercial Aviation!

Yes but that is to do with the HOLIDAY COMPANY not the AIRLINE.

Not commercial aviation related.
