Does anybody know when the two F.3’s which are parked on the DHL apron are due to depart?

There were two RAF jets (not sure what they were like) at Newcastle today, as well as the Red Arrows.

Thanks Andy, I had a feeling they were summat t’ do with the BTCC races at Donno, guess I’ll just have to pile up to EMA in the morning and hope I see the buggers depart! 🙂

They were there for a display associated with the final rounds of the British Touring Car Championships being held at Donington Park this weekend. One did a very good routine Sunday at about 13:30 – managed to watch it whilst I was waiting for the somewhat later than originally planned arrival of the non-hushed African International DC-8-54F. Sadly, I don’t know when the Tornados are going home – probably tomorrow, although I appreciate that’s not much help.

They’ve been at EMA all weekend so they aren’t the Stansted jets, apart from the the fact that fully armed fighters would not land at a commercial airport following a live scramble! 😉

More than likely the 2 which were scrambled to Stansted for the bomb scare. I saw them flying over, too high for the reg’s though. I’ll let you know if I get them through the stansted e-mailing list.
