Hi,
Myself and A330Crazy have just been planning our next European day trip and Andy has stumbled across a great value fare for a flight to Toulouse in just a few weeks time. The details are below.
easyJet
Depart London Gatwick at 7.10am
Arrive Toulouse at 10.05am
Airbus A319
Depart Toulouse at 8.50pm
Arrive London Gatwick at 9.40pm
Airbus A319
Cost: Currently £38.98
If these fares are still available on Tuesday, we will be booking up to go. However, we’re keen to know if anyone would like to join us. Unfortunately, getting there for many of you would not be cheap. easyJet only serve the French Airport from London Gatwick and Paris-Orly. Even from ORY, the cheapest ticket is €101 return.
Anyone who could get to Gatwick and join us is very welcome to.
Please note: We have not booked this trip yet, so please do not book up as the trip is not yet confirmed.
Finally, can anyone offer some information about the airport. It’s in a fantastic location and I’m sure we will be spoilt by brand new Airbus aircraft all day, but are there any official viewing facilities at the airport or is there somewhere from where we can look on, take photos etc, without being stopped or breaking any laws?
Thanks!

Seriously though, I’d love to go but I’m too busy moving house just now. :p
I was about to suggest you take a look at Fred’s pics on www.saap.co.uk of his recent trip to Toulouse, then I remebered it was the Hamburg plant he visited ! Still worth a look mind ya. 😀

The cheap fares to Toulouse were available for mid november when booked on Monday. The English tour is on a wednesday with french on Friday according to Airbus but (having done the tour a few years ago) goig on a Friday is ok.

That was a success! 😡
Turns out the the fare wasn’t available today – the day we planned to book it. It’s gone up quite up by 50%, so we’re going to leave it a few weeks.
If anyone would be able to join us though (during the week) sometime, it would be excellent.
This wouldn’t be just a day watching aircraft taking off and landing. Toulouse is the home of Airbus, so we’ll be planning to visit their factories around the airport.

Some info of the airport here:
http://www.toulouse.aeroport.fr/us/pageedito.asp,UIDcNode,e5214957,UIDcRoot,18,idpage,536.rwi.html
The airbus plant is just on the other side of the airport and many birds to be tested or delivered are visible from the runway or the terminal.
