Well it looks like I will be going to Bangladesh on business in 2-3 weeks. Flight options appear limited either Emirates probably from BHX or BA from LHR. I’ve heard good things about Emirates and would get 4! flights on their B777-200s.. May also get an internal flight which should be interesting.

Biman don’t go “direct” to Dhaka, there is always a fuel stop in Dubai due to the range of their aircraft.

“Lucky” you…! I may have to go to Hydrabad in India in late October – seems like at least one sector each way will be on an “interesting” airline…! Not sure whether I’m looking forward to it or not!
Andy
get to Delhi by BA or VS and then take 9W to Hyderabad. 🙂
and for Bangladesh you can directly fly to Dhaka with Biman. And well if you dont trust them enough take Aeroflot to Dhaka from Moscow. :diablo:

I quite fancy a trip on Biman’s Dc10s but not for a 10-11 hr flight. I may have to go to Chittagong and they do operate them on some domestic flights between Dhaka and Chittagong….there’s an idea.

DC-10 and A310 would be nice, but for a sector that long? Direct from LHR with BA on the 777 is 10 hours there and 11 back, with Biman you would have to make a fuel stop in Dubai as well, adding to that time.
It depends how long the trip to Bangladesh was for, and whether Business class is an option that would dictate my choice of airline, and as much as I’d like to fly on an A310, I wouldn’t for 12 hours+

Yeah i suppose you have a point but are A310s any big deal to fly on, i know i would pick the 777 over the 310 any time but i wouldnt mind flying on the DC-10, i would pick that over the 777 lol 😀

Try Biman, and have a ride on the A310 before they become obsolete. Emirates is no big deal and their 777s and 330s will be around for ages and you will get loads of chances to fly them in the future. You take Biman and the 310!

I could take a pic of you when you leave lol

Peter that’s not really a choice a business traveler from the West would make? However it would be a unique experience. People I know flew with them to New York from Brussels and had much more leg room than friends of thel had on Sabena. But customs found it very strange that Western people flew with that type of airline, and their luggage was completely searched.

You could also try Biman from LHR? They fly A310s and DC10s.
