written IATA tickets

Around 15 years ago I sat COTAC exams and passed both air and general papers I and II. In those exams we had to complete IATA tickets in pencil, issue MCOs and complete ticketed Point Mileages. They were fairly tough, especially getting to grips with all the rules of application and fare types and restrictions.

I was wondering if any air tickets are actually completed by hand these days?

Two years study and I have never completed an airticket by hand, only for the purposes of examination. It was interesting for an aviation freak like me, albeit a bit dry!

Saw a Macedonian Airlines (IATA) ticket earlier today from my housemate. A standard ticket with the passenger and route details written on it. So yes, these tickets still exist.

You could book a Ryanair flight, and write the confirmation number down on a piece of paper if you liked
