dark light

Heathrow 28/08/04-Warning, lots of pics!

Took a trip down to LHR yesterday, oh what a lovely 2 hours on the underground! They were on 27R as I arrived, so it just took a short walk from Hatton Cross up past the BA hangars to reach the approach. The weather was playing around a lot, constantly threatening to rain and at times becoming very dark and dull. That came as an advantage on the rare occasion that the sun appeared, as it gave a better background, but at other times it was almost impossible to get a nice photos. As the day moved on there were a few more sunny patches which i made the most of, and you can see the varied results below.

First, I took full advantage of the SAA being parked very close to the fence, and did a ‘photographic inspection’ of the aircraft…..

Superb shots and so much variety, too! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I particularly like that Malรฉv 737. I did try and photograph the thing last week, but as I told you, I failed miserably!

I would certainly like to see the other 180 if you have the time? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Those SAA “close up” steal the show for me

One could be forgiven for thinking you were airside. Well done

And finally, my chosen shot of the day. This made it worth waiting til sunset for! ๐Ÿ˜€ I took about 180 other photos, so if these aren’t enough I can try and post more.

Wow man, great pics. Funnily enough I was also down there Sat AM picking up the latest addition to my model collection from the shop at the Skyline Hotel. Some problems on the M25/M11 meant that it took me around 3.30 hours to get home. Usually only takes 1.30! Nightmare.
