JAL's "Enhanced Cigarettes"

Here is an enhancement to the late “burning cigarette” livery. I know, they’ve moved onto a new brand, but a boy can dream. The old livery evoked such a sense of contemporary Zen… 😉

Actually, “Washi”- the Japanese hand-made paper, may or may not have the creamy color. The color is based upon the fabric and material used to create it. I have created Washi paper that has ranged from gray to white to yellow to brown. If you were to mainly add silk threads in it’s natural form into the paper, with white raw-material, you may end up with a creamy silk color…

interesting. I walk this earth more enlightend. Thank you

Oh did anyone know that the creamy overall fuselage colour is meant to represent the japanese hand made paper which is of similar colour?

The whole point about the new livery their fleet is currently sporting is to blend JAS and JAL together and create one brand. They wanted to communicate the unification and a changed airline, while at the same time reducing operational costs.

Nasir, your livery looks nice and had JAL not merged with JAS would be very appropriate. But as it is right now… the livery does not suite the “new” JAL.

But still ,10 out of 10 for the design mate 😉

Nice one Nasir, JALs new creation is very mundane and for me invokes nothing Japanese. Other than the registration!!
