Tried uploading these yesterday once I had taken them, but the forum didn’t seem to want to work for me. Spent another afternoon up at Stansted snapping away, getting rained on and getting told off by Police. Ah well, that’s what it’s all about! There were a number of pictures spoilt by the rain and bad weather, but then as soon as the sun came out I managed to get some nice ones.
I’ll do the usual. Post some of the normal local things, then anything of remote interest. A few close-ups at the end.

Lol ok then matt, will do what i can. Not many BA 757’s left flying around now, so hopefully I’ll get it right first time! Looks like I may be going next Monday now instead, but whenever I do, you’ll see them on here.

Thanks very much! 😀
Perhaps you could possibly get one of those type shots of a BA757. If you could, I would love to use it as a desktop.
I’ll be looking out for a BA 757, and trying my hardest to get one for you Matt! Do you mean one like the 2 FR photos at the end, or like the close-up on the Buzz one before them?
what zoom have you got on that camera mate
36-290mm 🙂

Thanks you very much for the comments Andy and Matt, good to see some of you like ’em! Ok well I should be at LHR next Sunday Matt, so I’ll try for many more of those angles with some hopefully more exciting planes! 😀

Nice stuf Dan – That camera is certainly paying off. 🙂 Thats a nice shot of GAMA’s Lear too.
The 340 you saw i would guess is more than likely a Royal Jordanian one? – Looks like it in the shot anyhow.

Thanks for the comments.
Yes that is pretty much the only spot, it’s quite ridiulous down here. As you saw in the Britannia and Jet2 photos I had to move over to the other side once the sun was coming from the other angle, but that is about the only way you can move. There is a similar spot down at the other end when the aircraft are using RWY05, and another spot parallel to the runway. However, the spot parallel to the runway is quite far away, and you can only really produce good departure shots with a 400mm lens.

they tried to move you on a public foot path!

very good pics, what happened with the police?
Ah just the usual argument about where we can and cannot ‘gather’, and the fact that it is a public footpath means they have no right to move me.

And finally just a few close-ups. First one is of the same GSS 744F, looks strange from this angle doesn’t it?!

There were many more interesting things such as an Air Adriatic MD, and a Maersk 737 in new livery but the photos were spoilt in the rain showers. Think it’ll put a bit of a dampener on the quality, so wont bother posting them!
P.S. Can anyone even have a wild guess on the trailing A340, cos I dont have a clue! Appeared to have a blue/black tail, white/grey belly with a little bit of black overlap from the tail on the rear fuselage.
