I think the thing that makes the 154 look old in this case is – (a) its dirty, (b) the dreary weather and (c) thats a naff livery. The new Aeroflot livery i’d have to say makes the 154 look very nice.

And the Balkan Holidays livery looks great on a 154 too. You could put that Belavia livery on a brand new 744 and it would look ancient. A bit like the Air China effect?

I’m off to MAN to go on holiday in 15 days, I hope there is some interesting Soviet-built equipment there when I go as I’ve never managed to photograph any yet and I’ve just bought loads of memory cards so I want to fill them with something as well as the most delightful country in Europe 😀

Ren, seeing as the Edinburgh Festival is on you appear to have become very witty lately. You aren’t by any chance angling for an appearance at the extreme outer edges of the fringe are you?

I must be delirious Kev having spent the entire week on the roof of Edinburgh Castle pointing a crane mounted camera variously at the military tattoo or the RAF flypasts that have greeted each evening.
