Something I’m doing for the TPS (Trident Preservation Society) and forum member TRIDENTMAN. My contribution to their cause.
Sorry for the width of the file, but zooming any smaller make its smudge into the background.
This is done from scratch and is about 70% done. I will eventually contruct one of my templates out of this.

G-AWZK in her original BEA livery 🙂
By: Bmused55 - 22nd August 2004 at 12:22
Getting all excited as this progressed, only to find you have done it in BA colours, instead of the BEA scheme she’s in! Any reason? 🙁
just a work in progress. She won’t just be on ba colours 😉

Well, here’s the basic template in old BA colours.
I’ll be adding lots more detail over the coming days as I collect a database of photos that show me all the nooks and crannies

Ah Sandy… that’s G-AWZK exactly as I remember her at GLA in roughly 1981. Poetry and noise in motion. Do you mind if I post that j-peg within the 1/400 model fraternity as I’m trying to persuade Gemini Jets to make one for general release ?
Go right ahead

The Trident what a beautiful aircraft, especially the 3B. I think it was so sad they had a premature retirement from BA service. Those stupid noise regulations have been the downfall of the lovely Trident and more recently the gorge BAC1-11. What next my childhood 732s. Why cant people appreciate a noisy Spey, I can!

Lookking good! Still haven’t quite mastered cockpit winodws though 😀 ala…(WIP)
:p
Mine are more representational. I leave the life like accuracy to you.
That wouldn’t be an MD80/DC-9 nose would it?

Matthew, nobody can top what you do. Your drawings are to be appreciated with a magnifying glass!
By: Nasir - 20th August 2004 at 21:36
Wow, you’re fast Sandy! I’ve only gotten thus far, but then again, I had to trace your drawing by hand. Thanks so much. This has made life so much easier.

That’s the way to do it! Gorgeous!

progress report no1
ok, things are moving along nicely. A lot faster than normaly.
heres the progress so far. Engine No.1 pod complete. Engine exhaust nozzles are done and I’ve added some shading to the booster jet housing on the tail to give it a raised looks.
Flightdeck windows are installed 😀
