Oh yes, Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Not too many maid Marions in Doncaster I can tell you! Seriously, that name is very misleading Robin Hood is associated with Sherwood Forest and Nottingham not Doncaster!

Er, no it isn’t, particularly if you happen to come from that part of the world. Look on a map and you’ll see that Sherwood Forest is actually just as close to Sheffield and Doncaster as it is to Nottingham.

How can you say that about ThomsonFly DanAirBoy.

If they are ‘muscling in’ on the loco sector and are making money on it then they are not going to stop are they.

Saying they should be a ‘first rate’ it carrier, I cant see what makes them any worse than any other charter carrier. They have all had to cut costs.

Good luck to ThomsonFly, hope everything goes well for them.

How much is Thomsonfly being paid by Coventry to mount operations from this heliport?

TUi now operates CVT.

They’d do better on AMS from CVT if they were double daily. CVT/AMS can handle that if they do it at the right times – i.e. morning and mid-evening departures. They could easily fill it in, in the middle, with a rotation or two to destinstions that cannot warrant more than one flight a day (PRG?) or to increase the frequency on current routes. CVT-Scotland shouldn’t be to difficult to make work should a decent amount of marketing be done to explain which towns are also close to Coventry.

Me, a frustrated route planner? Well, yeah – I’d love to do it for a living 😮 . At the moment they are just hunches of which routes could work but some proper researching would keep me busy, with the right airline, of course! 🙂

Oh no, are they still at Coventry? what happened to the NIMBYs? I hate Thomsonfly, why dont Britannia go back to being a first-rate IT carrier and stop trying to muscle in on the no-frills sector.

Maybe BY should have kept a few of those very noisy, aged 737-2s and wheeled them out with for ThomsonFly, its all this silly carrier is worth.
