Excellent pics, although there appears to be a mutant owl in the background of the second pic! 😮 😉
And someone has turned a neighbouring field at a 45 degree angle to the right of frame of the same shot ! 😀 😮

When I went into a VC-10 all the seats were facing backwards!! I asked a member of crew about it and it’s because of cargo loading and also it’s safer if it was to crash apparantly. It makes sense really as most a/c crash in a forward manner and if you’re facing the other way the impact wouldn’t be as great and the seat would take the worse of it.

Great photos Joe. Particularly like the BA A319.
I have pictures of BA’s A to Z fleet with the exception
of ‘E’ ‘I’ ‘Q’, anyone know where these are based?
Hopefully they will come through EDI one day.. 🙂

Lovely shots Joe. The Scot airways and VC-10 shots are especially great. 🙂
The paint on the VC-10 – on any military aircraft in fact –
seems to ‘fool’ infra-red beams from cameras. The result not being what one expects. Are military aircraft painted with special compounds.?
